Inner Beauty

“That’s always seemed so ridiculous to me, that people want to be around someone because they’re pretty. It’s like picking your breakfeast cereals based on color instead of taste.”― John GreenPaper Towns

I hope I’m not the only one that thinks like this.Another example is the apple rotten inside. You can see the beautiful apple in front of you and you choose to eat it,because it looks so perfect. You take a bite and then discover that inside it’s rotten. It’s exactly the same with people. Why would you want to be around someone just because they are pretty? It’s lame, really.

The true beauty comes from the inside. In my opinion,a beautiful person is the one who has a kind and generous soul and helps others in the time of sorrow. No one can take you inner beauty.People should be careful when they want to spend time with a pretty person. They need to see if their personality is not rotten.Of course there are exceptions, but that is another story.

“Nobody should be judged on their looks. Beauty is not found on the body but in the soul. The only thing the media has done is change the definition of the word. I mean being attractive may make it easier to catch some one but being kind and loving is how you keep some one. Also with make up its like putting on a mask some masks are creative and fun most others are just used to cover who you really are up. Be yourself.” ― Danyon Guthrie-lewis

Inspired Action

When the heart is happy

Inspired Action

I remember when I first heard this quote below, from Dr. Wayne Dyer – it really touched my soul.  I thought I would share it with you today and hopefully it will ring some truth for you and connect with you in a special way to take inspired action.

“Don’t die with your music still inside you. Listen to your intuitive inner voice and find what passion stirs your soul. Listen to that inner voice, and don’t get to the end of your life and say, ‘What if my whole life has been wrong?”
– Dr. Wayne W. Dyer

My opinion about love

“Love is when the other person’s happiness is more important than your own.”

I heard this quote so many times that  started to question its meaning. So…I wondered whether it’s true or not.I think I found it in one of Nicholas Sparks’ books :”Dear John” but I’m not really sure.Anyway, maybe it doesn’t matter.

So…as I heard a lot of people talking about this subject I started to create my own opinion about “love”.For me,love is the most complex feeling that ever existed and I don’t think that it could be another one stronger than it.Well,I agree that pain is powerful but grief comes from love all the time.Another saying sounds like this:

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive outhate; only love can do that.”

I honestly believe that we should love ourselves.I’m not saying that a relationship is bad.Don’t get me wrong. In order to live a happy and healthy life we must love ,our personality, our job, everything. It’s normal to care about the happiness of the person you love the most but if you depend on others and build your own happiness according to them you can loose yourself in the process. When a break-up occurs or the person dies or something really bad happens your pain can be unbearable. Some might not survive it.

That’s why I love the first saying, because it makes me think about this side of love which is an amazing and beautiful feeling that it’s not only about the people around us such as friends, family, lovers but it’s about ourselves.Everyone is beautiful even though we make mistakes. We can learn from them and move on.Maybe that’s what life is about after all:figuring out for yourself a right path that only goes up.

In the end I want to share with you another amazing quote:

“Love yourself. Forgive yourself. Be true to yourself. How you treat yourself sets the standard for how others will treat you.”

Imagine the future

Imagine the future

“Imagining the future is a kind of nostalgia. (…) You spend your whole life stuck in the labyrinth, thinking about how you’ll escape it one day, and how awesome it will be, and imagining that future keeps you going, but you never do it. You just use the future to escape the present.” ― John Green, Looking for Alaska

How beauty can be…

Beauty can be consoling, disturbing, sacred, profane; it can be exhilarating, appealing, inspiring, chilling. It can affect us in an unlimited variety of ways. Yet it is never viewed with indifference: beauty demands to be noticed; it speaks to us directly like the voice of an intimate friend. If there are people who are indifferent to beauty, then it is surely because they do not perceive it. – Roger Scruton, Beauty
