Just a usual day

I woke up today and I made some coffee. (I usually love the smell of fresh brewed coffee, but today I loved it even more than usual.) Probably it was just because of the sun rays which were going right through my window, predicting a new beginning coming ahead. A new day full of possibilities. A day when all your dreams can come true and everything can change in a blink of an eye. Just like the voice inside of me whispered: ”something is different this time”.  I had no idea why, but I decided to listen to it. My gut was always right.

I put my coffee in my favourite cup. The one with a teddy bear on it that holds a heart at his chest. Next to the teddy bear there were these words written: “hug me”.  I drank my coffee quietly while I admired how the innocent sun rays touched my window pane and the flowers that were standing on it, giving them a reason to aspire to greatness. (At least, that’s what light has always been for me: greatness and absolute perfection.)

I finished my coffee, took my black coat and got out of the door with a smile on my face. I walked carelessly down the street, heading from work and I was half down the road when I saw a little shiny thing glimmering just a few steps ahead of me. A coin, maybe? I was really anxious to reach that spot, but something inside of me told me to stay calm since there was no rush. (I don’t rush when I walk, why would I do it? I simply prefer to look at everything  and simply be grateful.) I continued my walk slowly and happily, being really pleased with every little success and failure that I encountered during my life, because without them I knew I wouldn’t have been where I was. I focused on the road instead of the destination, simply because I wanted to make it worthwhile for me. Before I realised the shiny thing that I wanted so badly was right under my nose and without effort I bent down and found just what I expected: a coin. I smiled again due to the fact that I knew that one of my best friends would definitely love this little coin. It would make his day. I took it from the pavement and put it in my pocket…and only then I noticed that under the little coin I found was a piece of paper with something written on it. I took it in my hands in order to make out the words. Guess what! In front of my was one of my favourite quotes from  C. JoyBell C:  “I think that we are like stars. Something happens to burst us open; but when we burst open and think we are dying; we’re actually turning into a supernova. And then when we look at ourselves again, we see that we’re suddenly more beautiful than we ever were before!”

Who says life is not amazing clearly doesn’t know how to read…or write.

To be continued….
